Support for Parents

As a parent to a child who is neurodiverse, I understand how hard it is to navigate the system to get your child the diagnosis and support they need. On top of this you are finding your way through parenting challenges whilst often juggling work and relationships with partners and siblings.

In all of this you can lose sight of who you are and looking after yourself can come at the bottom of your priority list.

As a coach who has been through EHCP appeals, CAMHS diagnosis, DLA application and Early Help, I can help you navigate your way through this whilst at the same time look after your own health and wellbeing.

I understand the grief you feel for the life you thought you would have, I understand how hard it is when your child can’t attend school, struggles to eat or has extreme emotional dysregulation or violent and challenging behaviour.

  • “Helen is a wise woman with the patience of a saint who has helped me immensely over the past few months. I was overwhelmed and stuck in a rut and she helped me to gradually clear away the mental debris, restructure the future plan and create simple action points to complete in manageable chunks. She made it all seem very easy and has left me with a better sense of control going forward. I will be forever grateful for her input at this crazy time in my life and can’t recommend her services enough to anyone who is looking for advice. She will make sure you get to where you need to be”.

  • "Helen gets ADHD brains in a way that feels genuinely different from any therapeutic approach I've tried before. Instead of feeling like I was being inspected as a specimen, I felt like I was talking to a peer who handed me tools specifically designed for how my mind works. With ADHD, so many things are already uncomfortable—Helen makes hard things MORE comfortable while helping me spot what causes me to spiral. Helen hands me the tools to use rather than being a crutch. I wish I'd done this sooner."
